Who we are. And our impact
TAFS is an African-led non-governmental organization founded in May 2020 to promote visibility for farmers and small and medium enterprises in Africa.
TAFS tells the stories of the passion, courage, pain, difficulty, well-being, resilience
and sense of community of farmers and players in the agricultural sector, in order to create visibility for the farmers and SMEs, thereby facilitating capacity building, collaborations and global investments in the African agricultural sector.
The vision of TAFS is to build an attractive, empowering and sustainable youth inclusive Agriculture environment in the African continent (as in an inclusive, attractive and sustainable agricultural system, geared by the African youths, for better food, better environment, better globe).We recognize that the population of the Africa’s youth has been estimated by the United Nation to make up over a quarter of the world’s population, and the alliance by various stakeholders in agriculture will contribute to the making agriculture attractive for the youths.
We propagate hope and support to African farmers and stakeholders in the Agricultural sector through social media platforms, create sustainable collaborations for
market access and investment opportunities and also make agriculture attractive for youth inclusion and participation to foster a resilient and sustainable ecosystem in Africa.
We achieve this mission by creating inclusion empowerment programmes for a vibrant and sustainable agro-system within and through our partners, driven through effective and sustainable collaborations and partnerships.
Agriculture Transformation

To be able to make impact at the level of farmers, TAFS works on empowering farmers with skills needed to increase their productivity and incomes and introducing them to enabling environments where opportunities can be harnessed. We have directly reached an average of 1500 farmers over the past few years through the organization of six training programmes and three webinars.
We organize Youth Hangout series with agribusiness weekend where (what has it done?), monthly training series with Bosaz foods, storytelling series through our online community platform (Zoom and YouTube) and Tekedia Agribusiness in collaboration with TAFS academy.
Amplifying our Impact
We aim to create a foundation programme, Agricultural Students Foundation Program, where undergraduates and graduates of Agriculture can intern. This is to meet the needs of agricultural students who have difficulty finding placement opportunities for internship.
We seek to foster a better and greener ecosystem among young minds by executing program where they are introduced to agriculture and its value chain and also a hackathon where innovators of great ideas for green sustainability are invested in.
